Sherbz’s achievements over the past four years

    Growing staff numbers

Cast your mind back to 2021. Lockdowns were being lifted, England reached the final of the Euros, and Sherbz began in a rented office with just a handful of staff members. Yet, it didn’t take long for the growth to begin, as within just a couple of months, the team needed somewhere new, so it was in everyone’s best interests to purchase a building in Bromsgrove, which is still where we are today.

Fast-forward to 2025, and we now have 45 staff and counting, with a few pets thrown into the mix, and have been the fastest-growing SEO agency in the UK for the last two years. The Sherbz team has grown thanks to the company’s drive for greatness and commitment to providing client-focused services, which every team member contributes to.

We now have members of staff who come into the office, and experts we’ve recruited all over the UK who work remotely. Flexible working has been a benefit for our staff from the very start, and 2024 saw Loki, Founder and Managing Director, develop this even further.

Sherbz introduces the four-day work week!

Many of our team still have to pinch themselves to see if they’re dreaming on a Friday when they’re still in bed and not sitting behind a desk. Back in July 2024, Loki started taking every other Friday off to prioritise better mental health, reduce stress and spend more time with family. He discovered that a four-day work week provided the benefits he was after, so he made the amazing (and we really mean it) decision to offer the same deal to his team.

The four-day trial started in July with team members working Monday–Thursday, nine-hour days, and was met with nothing but positivity. Having every Friday off has given us time to live our lives, feel refreshed and be more productive during the working week.

    New family additions

Over these four years, we’ve not only said hello to new members of staff but also welcomed new pooches and sprogs – that’s babies to regular folks.

The two new additions that are every man and woman’s best friend are Bailey, the Working Cocker Spaniel, and Walter, the Golden Retriever. Both come into the office a few times a week and provide laughs, comfort and often havoc – Walter will chew up anything he can get his paws on, and Bailey may have had a few little accidents concerning his bladder.

We’ve seen three members of the Sherbz team, Charlie O, Brad and Josh, all become new parents too!

    A business that keeps busy

    Industry awards

Over our four years in business, Sherbz has been honoured to be nominated and win several industry awards. In 2023 alone, we won:

    • Top Web Development Company at the GoodFirms Awards
    • Digital Marketing Agency of the Year at the Media Innovator Awards
    • SME of the Year at the Signature Awards
    • Top SEO Services Company at the GoodFirms Awards

In 2024, a few of our staff attended The Signature Awards again, as we were nominated for several awards, and at the end of the night, we managed to walk away as winners of SME of the year! Another trophy to add to our collection. We hope 2025 brings us the same luck.

A portfolio to be proud of

Since its inception four years ago, Sherbz has accumulated over 100 clients we work our magic for. Our clients span many different industries, from HR companies and racking inspectors to commercial fit-out companies and niche businesses specialising in packaging machinery.

2025 has also seen us build a free, custom website for a dog rescue charity, something that we were more than happy to do as we are all dog lovers. Our vast portfolio covers our range of services, from SEO, PPC and content to web design and web development. This has resulted in a projected turnover of £3 million in 2025, and we look to target £5 million in 2026 – not too shabby for a company that’s only four years old.

    Funny events and mishaps

Every business has its ups and downs and the odd goings-on in between. Over the four years, here are our top picks for when interesting events have occurred:

    • Andrew, our head of development, crashes into a bench in our car park, causing it to smash into a million tiny pieces, just like his dreams of becoming a professional F1 driver.
    • Not five minutes into a Thursday, a glass pane in the office spontaneously cracks, but doesn’t break! It sure was a shock to Mia and Alan’s systems.
    • Charlie, one of our content writers, wasn’t best pleased when Bailey decided to empty his bladder on his rucksack. He can’t blame Bailey really, the pup is just too cute; he blames Luke for poor potty training!

Through the looking glass: Here’s to the past four years and the future of Sherbet Donkey

As Sherbet Donkey looks to the next 12 months, growth remains firmly on the agenda, with plans to expand the team to 60 employees and further solidify our standing as one of the UK’s most impactful marketing agencies.

These four years and the future of the company can be best summed up by Loki – “What we’ve achieved in four years is extraordinary, but we’re only just getting started. The best is yet to come.” And we’re here for whatever comes our way. Here’s to four wonderful years and many more to come.
