Success for Browns Outdoors looks like growth and increased online presence. They also wanted to increase their product range and add more options for delivery to customers.
Browns Outdoors briefed us to design a site that gave them a more inviting and relatable experience for users and that would consolidate their customer experience whilst promoting their family-orientated and outdoorsy ethos.
We chose to use expansive sections of white space to maintain a premium feel and allow the product imagery to be the main focus of the site. We introduced topographic background visuals and distressed textures in places to emphasise the outdoorsy nature of the company. We added to the colour palette and added inspiring lifestyle imagery throughout.
This website included a complex challenge as we needed to integrate a search function which allowed users to select their car and then view relevant products with different available bundles. Working closely as a team, we collaborated and successfully added the search feature creating this user-friendly section to the site to help drive sales for the client. The introduction of e-commerce has created a more automated purchasing process which reduced the amount of time spent on processing sales and increased the company’s profitability.
We established a plan to assist Browns in moving up the ranks by doing competitor research and keyword analysis. They were eager to pursue potential customers for their current product lines of roof bars and boxes, bike racks and tow bars, therefore we concentrated on this in our strategy. We made sure the new site was correctly indexed and could quickly pick up our SEO content for rankings on particular keywords by employing technical SEO practices. They have improved their ranks by developing strong, conversion-focused content, optimising target landing pages and heading structures, and providing customers with clear internal linking.
